MEET KOKO
Koko is Columbia's longest running female Radio Announcer, and has rightfully earned the title, 'Midday's 1st Lady'. She takes to the airwaves from 10a-3p and serves up a '5 Star menu of Classic Rock' on Koko's Kafé™!
Koko also works tirelessly as Public Affairs Director at FOX 102, as well as Producer/ Host and Creator of the Public Affairs Talk Show, 'Fox Focus'. "I can only hope this show has inspired others the way it inspires me. I have become a much better person because of it ", she says. So inspired that after an interview with a Student Exchange Program, Koko hosted a student from Germany, formed a team to walk in the American Lung Association Asthma Walk after promoting their event, 'served time' for the March of Dimes, became a white water rafting advocate for Canoeing for Kids-but her most talked about endeavor would probably be the time she was entombed in a 5,0001b block of ice for 2 days with no food and no water to benefit Fighting Back of Columbia!
Koko's awards include receiving a Proclamation by Mayor Bob Coble for her work with Fighting Back of Columbia, Top Corporate Fundraising Team in the ALA Asthma Walk, the Award of Merit for Radio Personality of the Year by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association, and she has served on the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association.
In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, walking, swimming, playing golf, rafting, crocheting, singing, playing keyboards.
Koko is available for Speaking Engagements and Appearances at school and corporate functions, Fundraisers, Voiceovers and Books on Tape. For inquiries email booking@kokoskafe.com
